Karla Pate McClure
Karla is a licensed clinical therapist with extensive experience delivering evidence-based mental health services to adolescents and families across educational, clinical, and community settings. Her practice is grounded in trauma-informed care, developmental psychology, and culturally responsive intervention, with a strong emphasis on measurable outcomes and data-informed treatment planning.
She currently serves as a school-based therapist providing individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and MTSS-aligned support across elementary, middle, and high schools. In higher education, she served as a college therapist at Lane College, supporting emerging adults through the intersections of mental health, academics, and identity. She also contributed to Sheppard Pratt's Early Psychosis Intervention Network (EPINET), a nationally recognized research and treatment collaborative for early-onset psychotic disorders.
Her research portfolio includes psychosocial analysis of trauma exposure, behavioral health outcomes, and resilience among youth in underserved communities, including studies on the multigenerational effects of community violence on families in Ward 8, Washington, DC.
Wesley Cornelious McClure, II
Wesley is a faith-based community leader and Solutions Architect focused on digital transformation, justice reform, and institutional resilience. His work bridges ministry, public policy, and secure technology modernization, applying Zero Trust architecture principles like identity-centered access, continuous verification, and data integrity to strengthen accountability and measurable social impact.
He leads mentoring initiatives grounded in restoration and structured reintegration at the Cheltenham Youth Detention Center, and has advised Prince George's County's Transition Team on Reentry, helping design evidence-informed strategies to reduce recidivism across health and justice systems. As Principal Investigator for a $2.4 million Department of Commerce EDA award, he led the design and construction of the Center of Entrepreneurial Growth and Technological Innovation (CEGTI) at Lane College.

Early Psychosis Support
Served alongside an Early Psychosis Intervention (EPINET) team supporting young adults and families at the first onset of serious mental health challenges: compassionate engagement, clinical coordination, and trauma-informed care that promoted safety, dignity, and hope in recovery.
School-Based Behavioral Health
On a school-based adolescent therapy initiative, worked directly with youth, families, and school partners: trauma-informed counseling that reduced stigma, strengthened family involvement, and helped students navigate anxiety, depression, and family stress while staying connected to school and community.
Youth Mentoring & Reentry
Built a consistent, caring presence for justice-involved youth at Cheltenham Youth Detention Center: trauma-responsive mentoring, ethical development, and coordination with chaplains, counselors, and community partners toward realistic plans for education, work, and family reconnection.
Recidivism Data Analytics
Contributed to a Center for Applied Data Science and Analytics project modeling drivers of recidivism: designing a secure, cloud-hosted analytics environment for sensitive justice and social-service datasets, with Python pipelines and modern open-source AI tooling for advanced modeling.
